Preface
Beijing is the political, economic and cultural center of China and its window to the outside world. China is the second largest power market in the world and ranks second in both installed capacity and electric quantity generated. During the “Tenth-Five Year” period, the Chinese government will invest up to more than 700 billion yuan in the power industry. In particular, the successful application by Beijing for holding the 2008 Olympic Games and China’s entry into the WTO show China will open to the whole world. The historic opportunity helped its national economy develop rapidly. With the great support of the Chinese relevant departments and industry associations, the Beijing Power Industry Association, China Electric Appliance Industry Association Electrotechnical Branch, Beijing Electrotechnical Society, etc. will hold the “5th Beijing International Power, Electrotechnical and High and Low-Voltage Electric Equipment Exhibition at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing from September 1-3, 2005.
Manufacturers from around the world will participate in the exhibition and make it another grand event of the power industry. Authorities in the industry will be invited to deliver reports on the developmental trend, market demand and new technology related to China’s power industry and the current developmental level of the international power industry will be displayed during the occasion.
The Beijing International Power, Electrotechnical and High and Low-Voltage Electric Equipment Exhibition was held successfully four times from 2001 to 2004 and we will hold the fifth one. On the basis of the successful experience of the previous sessions, we will proceed with times and create new brilliance.
Over 500 famous companies from 26 countries and regions in the world participated in the previous four sessions and the exhibition space expanded from 8,000 square meters at the beginning to more than 15,000 square meters in the fourth session. We expect the exhibition space will exceed 20,000 square meters and there will be more than 600 exhibitors and over 50,000 visitors in the fifth session in 2005.
We will make the fifth session in 2005 the largest and most influential event in China’s power industry under the leadership and with the concerted efforts of sponsors, assistors and supporters and provide a trading platform for suppliers and demanders to learn from and interact to the benefit of each other.

l Cost for participation
Cost of the standard booth (3m x 3m) for the whole period:
7,800 yuan for domestic enterprises in the domestic exhibition space
8,800 yuan for domestic enterprises in the international exhibition space
13,000 yuan for joint ventures
2,800 US dollars for foreign enterprises
Basic price of open space (not less than 36 m2) for the whole period:
800 yuan for domestic enterprises/ m2
900 yuan for domestic enterprises/ m2
1,000 yuan for joint ventures/m2
280 US dollars for foreign enterprises/m2
The cost of the standard booth includes the space, 2.5m high wallboards, making of the lintel banner, 9m2 carpet, a table for talks, two chairs, a 220V socket and two daylight lamps.
If enterprises select booths or booths with two openings, 20% more cost is to be paid. Everyone will be charged 500 yuan for meeting affairs (including exhibition books, lunches and souvenirs).
The price of open space covers the exhibition space, security guards and cleaning but doesn’t include the management fee for specially decoration.
l Procedures for participation
Fill in the application form and stamp and send it by post or by fax to the organizing committee. Then transfer T/T or deliver 50% of the above cost as earnest money or all of it to the organizing committee within a week. The principle for distributing booths is “first apply and pay, first arranged”. The balance is to be paid before August 1, 2005, otherwise applicants will be treated as giving up participation.
After the sponsors receive the application forms and payment, the invoice and exhibitor’s manual will be sent to exhibitors. Please see the manual for the arrangement of accommodations and product transportation.
l Exhibition books and other advertisements
Exhibition books will be sent to related domestic and foreign organizations and dealers by the sponsors in addition to responsible departments, related associations and visitors.

l Contents of the exhibition:
Show of products, business talks, technical exchanges and seminars. Exhibitors can apply for technical exchanges and the cost for each occasion is 6,800 yuan for domestic enterprises and 1,500 US dollars for foreign enterprises (the duration is two hours and the cost will not change if the duration is less than two hours).
● Promotional plan for the exhibition
Organize domestic and overseas EP & EM industrial sections and all related enterprises to Beijing to visit the exhibition.
◆ We will distribute 60,000 letters of invitation and 300,000 tickets to invite policymakers, important buyers and big users in the industries at home and abroad to visit, hold talks and place orders in the exhibition.
